Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda. City tour including Genocide Memorial. Transfer to luxury hotel. Evening briefing about the expedition.
Day 2 - Volcanoes National Park - Mountain Gorillas
Early morning transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Mountain gorilla trekking in Rwanda. Afternoon golden monkey tracking. Overnight at luxury lodge.
Day 3 - Cross to Uganda - Bwindi
Cross border to Uganda. Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Afternoon cultural experience with Batwa people. Evening at luxury forest lodge.
Day 4 - Bwindi Gorilla Trekking
Second mountain gorilla encounter in Bwindi. Extended forest exploration. Afternoon community visit and craft workshops.
Day 5 - Travel to Congo - Bukavu
Cross into Democratic Republic of Congo via Bukavu. Transfer to accommodation near Kahuzi-Biega National Park. Evening briefing for lowland gorilla trekking.
Day 6 - Kahuzi-Biega - Eastern Lowland Gorillas
Trekking for eastern lowland gorillas in Kahuzi-Biega National Park. These are larger and different from mountain gorillas. Cultural visit to local communities.
Day 7 - Return to Kigali - Departure
Return journey to Kigali with stops for souvenir shopping. Transfer to airport for departure or extend your stay.
